about

A lost track, recently recovered, recorded around the same time of the early Cross Sections EP.

lyrics

I wish I had and orchard tucked away
I would pick it every day
Knee-high or taller
All along the drive

I'd sip my coffee
Underneath the tree
Inhale, in solitude
The sight to see

Can I make a life of shaking hands
Wasn't that the master plan
We'd all twirl in one direction
And disregard command

But after twilight
Wash them in the bath
Lights dimmed at the edge of a single-wide path

Swat away the flies that are in orbit
'Round the source

I can feel the city's vengeful heat
Forcing me to my retreat
Keep the windows open
And watch, at very least

It's terrifying
Beyond my own belief
Whatever that is poured will be turned to steam
