lyrics
Come and take a slice of our
Sweet, sweet apple pie
You over there with the pretty blue eyes
You get a bigger slice
If you disagree, well, red sticker for you
More pie for me
But you better love my hospitality
Mr. Hoover doesn't like it when you hold out your hand
Every good American should be able to stand a little heat
Ah, but doesn't it feel sweet
Here in this cage we have
A big old bear performing today
Drop some change in the tip jar along the way
Well you can call the cops,
But that's just hilarious
To think you can stop us
We've got a pretty good thing going on here
He's got an eye on you like God and Santa Claus
But should you question, should you care,
He'll release the dogs on you
Ah, but aren't they so cute?
Through the back door
My boys throw a big old bash
And trash the house floor
But I don't mind, hey,
That's what eyelids are for
And across the street
I watch Miss Nightgown Gal
But she doesn't see me
I pay the rent here just to sneak a peep
Mr. Hoover
I hope you find this song
Mr. Hoover, come and jail me,
As you know that most opinions are wrong

Sierra Ferrell's music is the nectar that drips from vocal chords of angels on ecstacy and percocet, dripping with honey, and smelling of grandma's brownies. It has been proven to "cure what ails ya", and it temporarily wards off the existential dread that is slowly encompassing us all. Don't let the absurdity of our existence get you down. Listen to Sierra Ferrell instead.

This is the first album I found that really spoke to me as a young fem.
From the simplicity, the bass drum, specifically in landfill is so steady and soothing. I love landfill because it perfectly portrays trauma bonds, sexual or romantic relationships rooted in power imbalance. Being led on, unrequited love, constantly being clueless if someone is a real friend, or a lover. Are they yours or are they ruthlessly rogue. Untameable. Love and hate are such similar feelings, and they often mingle. clementinehatepageichangedmymind
